Welcome to the Austin Hill Country Area

The Hill Country is a vast area across several cities in Texas. The section near Austin lies west of the city and is marked by beautiful rolling hills, grand estates, and breathtaking views. The area has no major employers, so most residents work from home or commute to the city. Many of the homes in Hill Country are 15-20 miles away from downtown, a 30-40 minute commute.

Dripping Springs is part of Austin Hill Country. Vineyards and olive groves dot the landscape, and the homes in the region range from ranch styles to sprawling estates. Dripping Springs is so picturesque that many couples decide to have their weddings there, which is why it is nicknamed the Wedding Capital of Texas.

Hudson Bend borders Lake Travis. Many of the homes are waterfront and have their own private docks. Water sports, boating, and fishing are popular activities in the area. Lakeway is another area in Hill Country. It has beautiful neighborhoods, country clubs, and houses ranging from golf course villas to magnificent lakefront manors. Lakeway also has a luxury hotel and spa and even a private airstrip.

Bee Cave borders Lakeway and is in the foothills of Hill Country. It is a small affluent area with a mix of home styles. It has older ranch-style homes, new contemporary models, and some high-end condominiums. Regardless of what area of Hill Country people live in, they are close to nature, have gorgeous views, and live like they are on vacation every day. All of that, and they are still within driving distance of one of the trendiest cities in Texas.
